Volunteens: Purse Packing

Join us for a special event and make an impact on the larger community! We could use your help placing toiletries and cosmetics into donated purses for an upcoming wellness event! Co-hosted by Dr. Janet Garcia-Hallett, Winning Ways, and Quality Counseling, the Blossoming Beyond Bars: Women’s Reentry and Wellness Workshop will provide information and share local resources to help system-impacted women. As part of this wellness workshop, each woman will receive a purse filled with everyday toiletries (to help fulfill a need) and additional cosmetics (to also provide some form of empowerment).  In preparation for this wellness workshop, we could use the help of some volunteers. Volunteers will inspect the donated purses for any damages before placing a variety of toiletries and cosmetics into each purse. Dr. Janet Garcia-Hallett (a Cheshire resident and a criminal justice professor) will be on-site to assist, maintain organization, and answer any questions.  Earn 1 community service ho
